Today’s reference is from Human Anatomy for Artists, which is a very useful site for artists! “A treasure trove for artists, painters, sculptors, and digital modelers”, as it says at the bottom of its pages. Check it out if you’re an artist and need references–warning though: It has nude models.
As for today’s sketch: On the right are my first two attempts and closest to the reference is my second two, where I tried to sketch a gesture and then sketch the body on top of that. The one labeled “Try 1” is the versions I tried to do before I got some critique from a friend. “Try 2” is when I tried to follow her advice. MUCH better for drawing torsos. XD The second attempt looks a lot more like the reference, yay for that!
