Not Patt again |
SoftBoiledArt says that this was a painting exercise, from what I can see, he uses Copic Markers. He’s used them super well too! I personally love the colors of Patt’s skin and I love how her hair came out. But can we just focus on those gorgeous eyes for a moment? They just pop! And take a moment to see how well he designed the nose and lips. Isn’t it just something how he made the nose come forward?
Amazing work!

My eyes were immediately drawn to how well the wrinkles in the clothing look. Wow! They look so natural and help make the clothing look like something that’s actually being worn. Look at the hair too. Hasn’t SoftBoiledArt just nailed it in how to make hair look curly? And again, I have got to squeal about how well he’s pained this image’s skin. What is it about his medium that tends to look so very perfect?
Aside from how well he knows how to use it, of course. Because he’s well learned in that area!

Here’s the one that I’ve just been waiting to get to! Look at how he painted the water so peaceful and how red that sunset has painted the sky. Then the reflection in the water is so very well done, too!
Let’s take a look at the mermaid now; my eyes are immediately drawn to the scales on her tail. Aren’t those amazing? The shadows coming from her are also very well done, they plant her directly on her position. And I personally think that leaving the sand underneath her as white as the paper just worked super for the whole image.
These three pieces are amazing, aren’t they? To see more of SoftBoiledArt’s work, here is the link to his featured gallery and don’t forget to check out those folders on the top to see all of his work.
