Hajimaru |
Lillendandie says that this was a study for color techniques. Look at how very well it was done! And I personally love how clean she was able to make all of this by the end.
I wonder if the clothing the character is wearing is meant to be a dress of some kind? And I love how she painted the hair and wrinkles on the blouse. Look at how well she painted the skin in light and shadow, too!
Hajimaru (Art Process) |
And here is a process image of how Lillendandie painted all of that. Isn’t it cool Honestly, it definitely helps put together shadows and paint separately like she did here.
I am more amazed with how detailed the linework is. It shows perfectly where the light and darkness is meant to be!
Hajimaru (Full Tutorial) |
I’ve linked this image to the whole art process for how this whole image worked out. It’s very worth going in and reading exactly how Lillendandie did everything for this.
I’d be lying if I didn’t say how this whole thing just keeps my interest. I hope it does the same for you!
This was a bit different of a feature, wasn’t it? I hope that you were
as interested in seeing the ins and outs of how Lillendandie drew and
built Hajimaru as I was! Here is the link to Lillendandie’s deviantart gallery, and here is the one to her personal website.
