Ruffbeast Hood for KreepingSpawn |
The skull part of this is made of cast resin and the ears are from some taxidermy. (LeatherHead72 gives credit to Limitless Endeavors and Ohio Taxidermy Supply for these.) Have to say that I love how he got all of this to come together. Don’t those eyes look amazing?
It’s a pity that I can’t see KreepingSpawn’s finishing touch to this, they apparently added resin antlers to finish? Bet that they fit perfectly–all cause of the work that LeatherHead and the others put into it!
Leatherhead Yellow Horned Plague Mask |
Isn’t it great to get to see how well LeatherHead72 can work with his chosen material? And he says that this took a week to get finished. Only a week? He has to be well learned to making all of this behave!
I personally enjoy how well those brass studs work to add to this. Wonder what kind of location and time this kind of mask would be seen?
That thought just makes my mind go on creating its own stories for the mask. Isn’t it great when a well done piece does that!
Modeling a Bat Winged Leather Plague Mask |
And this one is what drew me into LeatherHead72’s work. Isn’t it amazing! He created the mask as a commission for someone and I bet they were all types of happy with it.
The rest of the ‘costume’ that he’s wearing is a leather coat that he created. It’s probably more than fair that he says that he’d never do another. They have to be much more difficult than the masks. XD
LeatherHead72’s deviantart gallery is right there. He also has an etsy, if you’re interested in contacting him for commissions. (Be sure to click the Read More link under the first couple of lines so you can see all he says about it!)
Hi, this is LeatherHead! Thank you for this write- up feature! And you three of my favorite pieces on display! Thank you again.
I'm so glad that you like it! And thank you again for letting me share all these. ^^
