Reference image is David Leahy Photography’s “Sunset over the Coast Range”. My version is on our right.

Alright, I can see that I missed some of the pink and white in the sky (or didn’t paint it brightly enough). The tree’s a little wide and the limbs aren’t as thin as they should be. The tree’s shadow could be a little less solid on the edge, too. Mountain’s a tad large as well. That brought the whole image a lot closer than intended…And my painting is a bit less realistic than it probably should be. Will try to keep an eye on that with further studies.

Other than all I’ve pointed out? Not at all upset with what I got! It’ll just take more practice, and what’s so wrong with that? More excuses to paint!
