Autumn’s Glow |
The first image brings so much brightness and I adore it for that. It would be very interesting to learn how the leaves were made here, wouldn’t it? And those two squirrels look so very cute, climbing around that tree and hiding in its branches.
I also wonder what kind of tree this is. The light comes from its own branches or leaves and it looks so neat, in my opinion. I wonder how much time it took to paint them that way? It’s an amazing piece!
Travelling |
“Scratchboard (North America and Australia) or scraperboard
(Great Britain), is a form of direct engraving where the artist
scratches off dark ink to reveal a white or colored layer beneath.”—Wikipedia
Had to look that one up but it just makes the whole piece more interesting to me. Mich-Spich had to have taken an age to get this one to work out! The leaves falling from the deer’s antlers seem to represent the death of the forest that it used to live in…no wonder it looks like it’s so starved.
This is a great piece to just sit and think about.
As the Sun Sets |
We went from the bright light in the forest and directly around to the hard truth of life. So let’s just end this feature with this gorgeous sunset. Those trees in the background are beautiful in the light that is shed around them; and can I just skip directly to the water in the front? It looks like such a relaxing scene and I’d love to have a chance to set down a tent and make up some very small camping area in this setting.
I can’t tell everyone how excited I am to get to share these works. Aren’t they all just amazing in the ways they were done? You’ve got to check out mich-spich’s gallery, it’s just as full of color and well worked black and white as you’ve seen here. And the stories just do not end!
