Another GIMP user! Raise your hands in solidarity and cheer loudly!
*cough* Yes, excuse me. Need to talk about the work, not just the programs used. XD I really like the panting done with this picture. There’s a word for it and right now it escapes me. The colors chosen really set up the Christmas wishes written above. And the characters’ hair! I really enjoy how he made the hair on both sides look rather good in his style.
If I were to mention one tiny thing, it’d be maybe to work with the shadows a little better. (But my way of drawing and painting isn’t the be-all, end-all of all painting. Plus this was done in 2019.) In all, this looks like a very cute piece and I completely enjoy it!

Mrs. Brisby and the Secret of NIMH

This is the piece that attracted me to TrinityXaos2’s work and I’m so very happy that he showed it to me! In his artist comments, he says that this piece is a re-imagining of when Mrs. Brisby met Jeremy the Crow from the original show.
Also in the artist comments, he mentions what exactly he used to add these little splashes of color to the piece. So very nice of him! Thank you TrinityXaos2! What I love most about this piece is how well his textures play on each other. The way the red string is different against the log’s bark, the way the log is clearly different than the grass behind and the water below. And look at how he brought attention to Mrs. Brisby! It’s great and so very simple. This attention to simple details makes me love this piece and everything else he’s shared with me!
We finish this feature with a Sonic the Hedgehog (2006) reference. I enjoy how well that sphere of power looks like it’s been thrown from Silver’s hand. Again, I have to to mention that the artist has differentiated the foreground and background on this piece. And it definitely looks like this is a section of destroyed city.
Look at Silver’s fuzzy part on his chest, too. Doesn’t that look just like you could run your fingers through it? (At least before Silver decides to throw you around for the offense. XD) I also love how well his eyes were shaded. Excellent work!

I’ve
said it before and I’ll say it again, I love and adore traditional work
even when it’s touched up with a digital program. Especially when it’s
the linework like these pieces I featured! TrinityXaos2’s gallery is right here. Go check it all out!
